The AMS questionnaire

helps determine your health-related quality of life

This is a disease awareness campaign initiated and funded by Grünenthal for the UK general public.

The Ageing Males’ Symptoms (AMS) scale

Do you feel like you have passed your peak? While men do not experience an abrupt decline in sex hormones like women do, many men start to experience bothersome symptoms as they get older, or gain body weight (regardless of age).

The Ageing Males Symptoms (AMS) questionnaire is the most commonly used scale worldwide to measure health related quality of life and symptoms in ageing males.1

The Ageing Males’ Symptoms (AMS) scale is a short questionnaire that can assess whether you may be experiencing symptoms of testosterone deficiency. The tool can help with:

1) Assessing symptoms of ageing
2) Evaluating the severity of symptoms over time
3) Measuring changes in symptoms before and after testosterone therapy

Don't forget to print out your results and take them to your doctor on your next visit.

The tool is for guidance only and not a formal diagnosis. Your doctor is best placed to advise you on any signs and symptoms you may be experiencing.

On the last page of the questionnaire you will get the option to print out your AMS score. This may help when discussing the results with your doctor.

Please select the word that best describes your experience from the options below.
